How and when did you get into yoga?
In the summer of 2009, me and my husband bought a 14 days intro package for hot yoga. Those weeks, we did nothing but yoga and digging weeds! I really enjoyed the practice, the mindful focus, the somewhat monotonous pace of the class and its effects on my well-being. During the fall, going to yoga became more and more important for me. Since then, I have tried many different forms of yoga and I enjoy the great variety yoga offers for both mind and body.
What do you do in your spare time?
Besides teaching and practicing yoga, I work as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. I enjoy being out in the nature, preferably together with my family. I am a very curious person and love to discover new details about well-known things, facets and aspects that are not so obvious, from a detail in a yoga pose or cooking a new dish to reading a book that offers a different perspective. And of course, I love to connect with friends!
What makes you happy?
To be and laugh with my wonderful big family makes me really happy! Feeling the sun on my skin, being outside in nature, moving my body in many ways, and a good cup of tea.
